30th Golf Classic was a Success!

DMSF welcomed nearly 500 golfers on June 3rd at the 30th Annual DMSF Golf Classic. It was a historic day with record breaking fundraising highlighted by a very generous donation from a Murphy Scholar alum during the paddle raise. Thanks to the generous support through the live and silent auction, paddle raise, sponsorships, foursomes, individual entries and donations more than $1.8 million was raised for DMSF.

Your investment supports the motivations of our Murphy Scholars like our remarkable speaker Edgar Morales, St. Ignatius College Prep Class of 2019 who will be attending the University of Illinois as an Evans Scholar this fall. Edgar shared with us…

“Being a Murphy Scholar has changed my life in ways I can’t comprehend. I’m a firm believer that it’s not what you’re born into, but what you grow to become. No matter the circumstances that I was born into, no matter the statistics placed on me dooming me for failure, they don’t matter. Because I’m not a statistic. I’m a young man with dreams and aspirations. And I, for one, aspire to become successful in this world. You have changed the course of my life and for that I am forever grateful.”
