DMSF Application Now Open!

Applications for the Murphy Scholar Class of 2023 are now available. 8th grade students (entering high school in the fall of 2019) are now eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students are now eligible to apply for a Daniel Murphy Scholarship in the fall of their 8th grade year.  Students who exhibit strong academic potential, outstanding character and financial need are encouraged to apply.  The application will require the student to write two essays and request three recommendations (7th grade math teacher, 7th grade language arts...

Golf Classic Raises $1.6M!

Communities have a way of coming together to do great things. The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund community certainly did just that on Monday as 480 golfers came together to raise $1.6M at the 29th Annual DMSF Golf Classic! Attendees spent a lovely afternoon competing at Shoreacres, Skokie, Conway Farms, Knollwood, and Exmoor, and then gatheredfor cocktails and a dinner program. DMSF Introduces New Executive Director

The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund welcomes Jose R. Rodriguez as its new Executive Director, succeeding Andy David who in August announced his plans to retire after nearly 11 years in the role. Jose comes to DMSF after 16 years at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School where he is Vice President of the Corporate Work Study Program.  He also serves in the same role at Christ the King Jesuit High School.  During his time at the two schools Jose has successfully grown the program, which serves close to 1,000 students, into the largest jobs program for...
