Jennifer Townsel Harth
Chief Education Officer
Jennifer Townsel Harth is an experienced educational leader with almost 20 years of service in public, private and charter schools. Jenn taught elementary and middle school Spanish in Chicago before transitioning into administrative and district office roles, most recently as a School Director in North Kenwood preceded by serving as a Universal Design for Learning Specialist in Glen Ellyn School District 89. As a bilingual, biracial leader, Jenn builds strong relationships with all members of the communities she serves and believes in the importance of stakeholder voice. Jenn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa with a double major in Communication Studies & Spanish, her Master's degree from DePaul University in Teaching and Learning, and her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from National Louis University in Administration & Supervision.
Jenn has a strong belief in the DMSF mission and is personally connected to more than a dozen Murphy Scholars through her support of their application to DMSF when she was an Assistant School Director in Chicago’s southwest side.
