The Arthur J. Schmitt Foundation has been a dedicated partner of DMSF for more than two decades providing financial support to help fund leadership development programs for our Murphy Scholars. Throughout the month of April, DMSF coordinated a Murphy-Schmitt Scholars roundtable where Scholars had an opportunity to discuss the recent school closings, transitioning to e-learning and brainstormed how they can support the larger DMSF community at this time. From this roundtable, a video project called Covid-19 Scholar Hacks was created for their fellow Murphy Scholars. The video features resources to use while Scholars navigate life during the pandemic.
The group set out to identify ways to keep fellow Scholars motivated and positive during these uncertain time through a project called Covid-19 Scholar Hacks. This project, a series of videos featuring resources (‘life hacks’), will be used to navigate academic and non-academic challenges they are experiencing at this time. Topics covered will be related to technology, organization, entertainment, time management, or specific to their year in school.
We are extremely grateful to the Schmitt Foundation for their partnership and for keeping our Scholars challenged by continuing to embrace the philosophy of their founder.
“Figure out a place for yourself in the world, and then do something about it.” Arthur J. Schmitt
